Now you see it... by Vivian Vande Velde

If you like reading books with fantasy elements in a realistic setting you will love this book. Wendy lives with her mom, stepfather, and her "perfect" stepsister. She also wears glasses, which she has to wear or she is basically blind.

She inadvertently breaks her glasses and her family does not have the time or money to go and get new ones right then. Miracle of miracles she finds a pair of sunglasses on her front lawn that are her prescription.

However, there is a catch. These glasses allow her to see dead people and see through glamours. At least this is what she figures out after accidentally entering an alternate world of elves, witches, dragons, and spreenies.

This author has written many books, but this is the first book I have read. I do plan to read more.

On another note, I haven't been keeping up my blog, but I plan to post some of the other books I have been reading since November.
